Robin Henkel performs on a Ro-Pat-In Elektro Frying Pan (dating back to the early 1930s) at the Museum of Making Music in Carlsbad, California. He is joined by Steve Nichols, who is performing on a rare 1936 Regal Flattop guitar. Both guitars are amplified by vintage amplifiers from the 1930s making it an authentically sounding rendition of this song.

Mr. Lynn Wheelwright provides an introduction to the instruments, which are from his collection.

This performance also features Danny Campbell on drums and Rod Ratelle on bass guitar. This concert was part of the Museum's ON! Exhibition opening reception on April 24, 2009.

    Great to hear the history!

Shame about the camera AF & fixed view...

    Some close-ups would've been sweet.

    Thanks for posting though!
