Chinook Helicopter Dropping Water On Wild Fire

This is a Texas Forestry Chinook helicopter dropping a load of water on a nearly extinguished woods fire east of Tyler in Smith County, Texas. This wildfire was at the beginning of wildfire season for East Texas. The fire consumed 280 acres of land a six structures.

They were picking up water from a shallow pond so it was full of mud. Even dropped a few fish on some drops.

we had them fighting fires here a year or so ago have got heavy rain this month so fire danger is way down got so dry this summer was no grass to burn
