  • would you trust these dogs with your life

  • I absolutely love the looks of the Dogo and rottie.

I'd personally never own one as my lifestyle woudnt suit the dog nor do i have experience with dominant breed and strong types of dogs. Ive grown up with breeds and cross breeds of it like it but my dad knew what he was doing with them. Really the only pompous breeds that my family have ever owned was an Afghan Hound.

I'm a fluffies owner and was an owner of a lab cross hound of some sort.

  • @abndogo I have a channel on youtube or email me at abndogos@yahoo.com

  • @QuTuck inbox me

  • @abndogo dont have what it takes to do the job, plus a trainer needs to know how to work a dogo, for it is not like working the herding breeds, and doesnt take well to harsh corrections.

YOu may be able to find a breeder that actually temperament tests their pups, though, where they can match up a dogo and your lifestyle and personality. NOt all dogos have what it takes to be a hunter either and may not be dominant or have high drives. It requires a LOT of research before getting one.

  • @abndogo the space and are able to keep the dogo both mentally and physically stimulated.. They are a large and powerful breed and they truly arent for the novice dog owner. I dont recommend a dogo as a pet unless the owner has dominant dog experience and the time and space to dedicate to this wonderful breed to keep it out of trouble if not being used for hunting. Since I lived in NY where there were no wild boar or puma I chose PP, HOWEVER I still dont recommend that, being most dogos

  • @QuTuck Also i should note that the dogo will be a companion and trained to guard.

  • @abndogo Yes i agree. they take a lot of work from what i see and having such a powerful dog is a lot of responsibility, and know that I can provide the type of home/boundaries and outlet for the dogo. I was only wondering which breeder torro came from as he seems to be a great dog

  • @abndogo the space to be able to keep a dogo both mentally and phyically stimulated. A dogo was bred to be a hunter of large and dangerous game as well as be a family guardian. The dogo is a large and powerful breed, both mentally and physically and is truly not for a novice dog owner. Since I lived in NY where there were no wild boar or puma, I chose to do PP, HOWEVER, I do not recommend that everyone with a dogo go do PP. Not all dogos are capable of it and you need a really trainer..

  • @QuTuck Hi, Toro is my dogo. A dogo is a LOT of work for it's main purpose is for hunting and working. They have very high prey drives which can get them in a lot of trouble(as well as the owner) if one does not know how to give a dogo an outlet for its high prey drives. The hunt wild boar and puma. They are very strong, powerful breed, both mentally and physically, but does not respond well to harsh corrections. I honestly don't recommend a dogo for a pet unless you have the time and..
