David if you please could do one on something so simple but so forgotten by some of a certain off shoot of judo. Breaking fall and how important it is and how it is basically same movement used to throw. I pull my hair out seeing on how so many of that certain off shoot don't do it correctly and do not focus on it. The exercises and warm ups also. And the safety procedures. No one in truth should practice any of this without a knowledgeable certified instructor.
very good...to often players forget the attack entry and arm movement in the lift pull, I like your post, keep it up. tiai otoshi uses no hip lift, just may be something i noticed but other wise a great explanation of (tai-ostoshi) a body drop throw. For those interested go to judoinfo.com and see the different throws and techniques. Keep it up David! Oh the same movement used to break fall is used to throw as norm.
I like the way he keeps his hikite beside his body. I think I could apply that to my throw. As for the critics be scientific and try it apply what is useful disregard what is useless make it your own.
Fantastic! I hate this throw but I am going to try your entry and see if it will change my thoughts on tai otoshi. Clear instruction. Thank you.

But this is not the tai-otoshi... you can see the hip action, tai-otshi isn´t a hip-throw. Is is a hand-trow, only a hand throw...
