Now you cant say lou reed cant sing, because he can, hes on time, it sounds cool
he just doesn't have that melodious of a voice, he kinda just speaks the words
-
pure rock´n roll
-

"bebía whisky y bailaba sweet jane, tenía ganado la mitad.." :3

love the early 90s versions they sound so filthy

Heh, Dave runs a tight ship on his show. This is one of the few times I've seen Lou play this song without some ridiculous drawn out intro jam. Great rock 'n roll song.

@sunriseRISE Sorry mate..I find this performance hard to knock... If you want funk, go watch James Brown or Dancing with the Stars..This is LOU REED man! So what about the foot pedel, Klien guitar etc....what you get is a classic and fevered rendition of a Velvet's classic. Letterman put this out on his CD...like 14 top songs out of...a thousand or so?

fantastic drummer.

Is that john cale on the bass?
Lou giving it his all. fantastic performance. Love the way he finishes and nonchalantly swings the guitar over his shoulder and faces the crowd. Cool par excellance. This is all you need when it comes to Rock n Roll.

My absolute favorite recording of this song. When he builds it up at "anyone who's ever had a heart." LOVE that!
