.
artist: African Brothers Band International
song: Agatha
album: Agatha

From the back cover: "In the heavily-packed nightclub at Boake in the Ivory Coast -- "Cote de Ivoire" Nana Kwame Ampadu l and his African Brothers Band International of Ghana were playing to the audience of local musicians and Radio & Television personnel. A young girl in her mid twenties emerged from the thick crowd and walked straight to Nana Apadu l and "Planted" CFA 1000 - One thousand CFA on Nana's forehead. "Have my Love", The young girl whispered into Nana's ears........ The first track - side one of the Album - AGATHA, tells the story of what transpired between Nana and the young girl "AGATHA" after the dance. The track is full of Love. Love works in a wonderful sort of way."

Please, dear listeners, if anyone out there speaks Ghanaian, tell us what transpired after the dance.. It would be greatly appreciated by your humble host... me.

The files for this video were originally found on the now defunct Ylowke Scavel-Cronek blog which was sadly deleted by blogspot. However this album can be purchased at the website of Nama Ampadu's (African Brothers Band founder). They are on the album "Evergreen."

  • If like Ghana high live music u must know dis Onitsha and Aba brt up

  • This tune bounced nana back to the top in 1982. One of his most popular tunes and certainly quite eclectic, even though the great Snr Eddie Donkor, Joe Dee, Lawyer Boatend, "Ancient" and co were no longer with the band. The new breed of Osae on rhythm, Osei Kofi with the velvet voice on vocals, Koo Baah on drums, Frank Hiango on organ, and the new basist (I forget his name) created a new sound that struggled to compete with the past, but actually came though on this tune.

  • Nice One from Ghana.

  • Jah Praise..... For This Song.

  • Big up to Nana one of Ghana's export to Nigerian music scene......Very popular in these places in Nigeria(Aba,Onitsha,Agege,Ijora,Ojuelegba and Yaba)

Remember one Ghanaian lyrics which says Landlord travel and see......Sad we expiled Ghanaians in the 80's now Nigerians are all over the universe trying to survive even in Ghana what an irony.
