This is a rough cut of a short documentary that Porcell, Sam Siegler I were doing together. This is not final. The audio is NOT mixed and the graphics were never finalized. Unfortunately I had a hard drive crash and lost all the elements which stopped us from wrapping this project up and making it complete. This version is close to final and all I had left over.
I hate showing incomplete work so please don't JUDGE it too harshly (pun intended), I just want to show what it was going to be to anyone that may have heard about this and wondered why it never came out while also find a bit of closure in it for myself.

Also it needs to be noted that this is owned by Revelation Records

  • I would love to try and make a new judge documentary. Full length.

  • @andynfb what would you do different? I don't think there's a feature length story in it.

  • anyway of getting these photos used in the video?

  • not easily. what would you need them for?

  • amazing!

i think i can safely say this is something the hardcore community worldwide has been expecting forever!

a quick note though, the background audio should really be regulated during the interviews, the volume never changes and it gets hard at times to hear the words of the interviewees, which should never be an issue.

  • thanks for the nice words. in the description you may have missed it but I wrote about the audio being unmixed and this being unfinished.

  • that was the pure HC spirit, hatebreed drag HC to mainstream,,,,HC life till i fucking die!

  • that was fucking cool.!

  • bring it back mike. the time is now.

  • this would have been a great doc since the 20 mins we see here is soo good. you gotta finish it some how. include other long lost bands in it too like youth of today, 7 seconds, bold, slapshot, who ever is down and still around to be videotaped. i miss old time hardcore!! this new school shit is depressing to me. they all look like afghan hounds and don't carry the torch as well as they should. i don't know... maybe i'm just old. reagan youth, mdc, cromags, guerrilla biscuts where did it all go?

  • One of my first NY-HC bands, and one of the GREATEST,Thanks from Germany!!!

  • @josephpattisal

theres definitely more in there and it will definitely be a bigger project but they are such a huge part of where hardcore is today.

  • @josephpattisall

i would go into detail with more things. start with the climate of the scene at the time they started why they started. they mention youth of today and revelation recs and most fans would definitely know whats going on but who is youth of today? what is revelation? what is youth crew? describe it. get more interviews. interview the band interview some of the other people who knew judge personally, and also other names in music not just hc who were influenced by them.
