  • What IS unique about these four voices is that they are all so different in timbre that it is extremely easy to follow each part clearly. BRIAN

  • Sorry, but Jens Weber's voice is very strange. I think it is an error to use him in a OVP. What a pity the cut at 1:04!

  • @davideberhardt100 I agree. Where Rifkin somtimes is tempted to be almost "jazzy" is the orchestra here very precise in the tactus. Wonderful. I seek the details and paralels in voice and instrument; wich is very hard on U tube. To me Bach is at his best in the meditative pieces in his organ works like BWV721

  • i like bach best when he's angry- almost tempted to say he's at his best then- but he also does struggly sadness so well- and of course the oceanic- this is best version i have seen or heard- the 1 voice to a line- like rifkin's b minor messe
