Don't try telling time with it, you might go all loopy.. This is a piece of Kinetic sculpture I made called "Timepiece No.1 -The Crazy clock" in 2003. I took this and several other "wacky art machines" to the Tybee arts festival in 2004 and won First place. I will have some more videos of my work in a few months (after reconstruction) The clock is now located at Savannah Art Works in downtown Savannah Ga.

  • wow in 1 word. i have never seen 'kinetic' art before, what is it exactly? i see some things, i know what kinetic is, but.. explain :) 5 points

  • As you know, kinetic means motion. kinetic sculpture then means the artwork itself moves with a motor or crank. Jean Tinguley is another Kinetic sculptor I draw insperation from. you also might have seen "mobiles" by Alexander Calder, sometimes referd to as kinetic art. Thank you for watching and writing!
