Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines: Ventrue Playthrough With Companion Mod 1

A few things...

1) This is my first youtube video ever. Really. So please be nice. And since it's my first video, I decided not to explain too much because I realized I would do terribly at it. If you're watching this, you're probably watching it for tips or hints if you're stuck. You probably know the basic ideas of the game and how to play it. So I won't waste time with that. If you do want to know more about how to play the game, I recommend a set of videos by darkchiron:

He plays Malkavian, but he does a good job of telling you how to play the game. I used him all the time when I was playing this game for the first time, and I still watch his videos for fun.

A few hints I do offer that I really should have mentioned in recording (and maybe did but wasn't clear):

-Important things to build up as Ventrue: Dominate (first and foremost), Seduction (especially if female), persuasion, hacking, lockpicking. These I consider the most important.

Presence, unlike the table top game or any rpg you might know, is pretty lousy in this game. A friend of mine likes to build it up, but I find it a waste. I recommend leaving it alone.

Fortitude... Put one or two more in here, and then you're done. (At least for the first half or so of the game) Just build up your defense, get armor, and then you don't need too much Fortitude. Focus on Dominate, really. Fortitude is great, but when you're forced to choose between them, go Dominate all the way.

2) I am using a mod that a fan created that allows you to have some companions in the game later on. You can't see what it does now, but it'll come later after we get to Grout's Mansion, and so I'll describe the mod and how it works later. If you want to learn more about the mod before I get there, google VtMBCompMod and it should pop up. It's currently being beta tested (by myself included), and I don't know when the general public will gain access to it. But you should be able to at least view the readme file.

3) I'm skipping the tutorial in the next video because it's pretty self explanatory, and you can't lose. Just do it even if you've done it before. You get the lockpick, the tire iron, and a gun. Big advantage.

I came here from darkchiron's playthrough, because I wanted to see if it was any different with a female player character. ^_^ I'm looking forward to this!

Also, I love seeing all the important characters in the audience.
