Thanks for the helpful video. On a different note, does anyone think he soundslike Toby from the Office?

I would appreciate it if your videos were Updated to reflect the Current Version of this software.I don't see MOST of the Codecs shown in the CamStudio file that I recently downloaded.IS there anything that I'm missing, since I installed it "Run As Administrator" & I'm missing SO many Codecs?!

@leintellectuelle573 I now tell everyone to just go and get Jawor's Xvid and use that, as it works with all media players and is a great "flavor" of Xvid with optimized profiles. (google for Jawor's Xvid and it will be on top - or get any other flavor/version of Xvid, including the original.) Just use Quality 1 in the configuration, and be certain to click the "Other Options" button at the bottom and un-check the "Display Encoding Status" option.

I can do audio fine, but I can't record my game window.
What's wrong?

@SoccerShadow Not all games will allow it. Anyway - the lossless codec is not for you if you are recording game play of any kind. Try Jawor's Xvid (google that) and get the 32-bit version, as that is the one CamStudio requires. Let me know if you do figure out how to get your game to record. Fiddle with your color settings - maybe at 16-bit color it will allow it (if the game works at all in that color mode...)

@jspspike2 See my note to stevecrye above - I did make the 1.4 .exe installer version available from my own hosting at screencasttutorial-dot-org/CamStudioCodec14.exe - running that should make 1.5 visible, though I personally would re-install CamStudio 2.6 to ensure that it REALLY is 1.5 being used (though I'm not certain what the difference is in actuality...) At least this trick gets it to show. I recommend using Jawor's Xvid anyway as the better choice (the 32-bit version)
