    Oh it's worse than that. Since nobody will remember it happened in the first place the calamity will happen again and again. All you do if you choose to return to the past is to doom all of existence to an endless loop of suffering. The only way to avoid that suffering is to not dwell on the past and move forward with life. Which I suppose is the moral for all of us.
