I cannot believe I am going to admit this, but:
Sometimes, I imagine what it would be like if Kurt Cobain got revenge in his afterlife. I can already imagine black-and-white footage of him coming out of the greenhouse they found him dead in, and slowly waddling towards the screen. If it was a film, they might call it "The Ceiling," because that may have been the last thing he saw before dying.

sry but not at all. The Us version is inconsistent and miss totally the original creepy feeling of the original tape. Ringu, the original showed well that horror can be achieved true homemade like films. That mean : disturbed sound, cheap looking and unclear scenes exposure. And thats exactly what the Us version scrapped. bad CGI ; insects?? insect phobia? that makes no sense in the movie and its just a old cliché.., crystal clear scenes that also break the aspired feeling.

i just made my friend watch it and when i was out of the room at the end i rang him and said in my best samara tone 1 "seven days" you should have heard him scream it sounded like he was being murdered
