This advertisement for Holden cars was first broadcast on Australian television during the 1970's.
The jingle which claims Australian people like 'football, meat pies, kangaroos and Holden cars' became popular at the time and is still fondly remembered by most people who are old enough to remember this commercial.
I'm not certain when about the seventies this ad was broadcast.

Opel does not have a rwd platform anymore.
And mazdas are Ford under the skin, big whoop.

The commodore has always been a german car right from the begining. google search opel omega.

The VE is Aus designed.
And the Falcon is basically a constantly updated xk falcon.

The mid 50's to the late 70's ones were aus designed too.
