The big three made awesome cop cars back in those days, a big block with a nice cam in a car with a bubble gum lights and a star on the side certainly made a statement.
-
wow sweet and i have the same car haha

My parents bought a brand new Fury Wagon in 1972. Sherwood Green with the 318ci V8. It never failed us. My mom drove it until like 1983 or something.

the cop car style is kickass we own one its a monster its a bitch but man we love that car
-
they where popular with taxicabs and police departments.
-
actually no its a b body. its a two door not a four door. trust me i know what i have.
-
mavis - if it's a '72 Fury it's a C Body.
-
Was it a 386 I remember pumping my friends car to 140 + on rte 89 between Concord NH and Burlington Vt. A used statie car in the late 70's

My favourites are the 1969-73 c body and the "small" 1975-78 fury/monaco.
One day.. wonder how much it would be to ship one to the UK?
This commercial aired in 1972 with actor Arthur Godfrey. He talked about how durable a Plymouth Fury Police car was. Back in the day Chrysler owned the fleet business(i.e. Police and taxicabs) Chrysler sure did a lot for our cities finest.

2dr or 4dr doesn't have anything to do with the general body designation. Any Fury built before '75 is full-size...a C body along with Polaras and Chryslers. Same basic body.
B bodys are Rd Runners, Belvdr,Coronet, etc.B bodys are not full size-they're mid size
A bodys are Dart,Valiant,Duster,Demon.
