Fred appeals to the crass and low-brow side of comedy. Anyone can act stupid and make stalker remarks, drug remarks, and scream. In fact, most people have the technology to heighten their voices. Fred became famous because he was the first one to do it, and every sucessor (who are no better or worse than him) are rip-offs of Fred himself. He's cliche and unoriginal.
