Okay guys, you may think that this is shallow but I've never had much respect for pageant contestants because I thought it was all superficial. I WAS WRONG. All these women compete in the hopes of representing and bringing pride and joy to their respective countries. To those who have even a single bad thought about any beauty queen, regardless of race or title, what have you done for your country? They have undoubtedly done more than you, think before you speak please.

@personalkoment: However, Gloria Diaz was crowned Miss Universe in 1969 while Margie Moran or "Maria Margarita Roxas Moran de Floirendo" was crowned Miss Universe in 1973. I am so proud of our beauty queens that they took home the crown...!!! :)))

@personalkoment: In Miss International, Philippines won four crowns. In 1964, Gemma Teresa Cruz was the first Asian ever crowned followed by Aurora Pijuan- Manotoc in 1970 w/c is now the mother of news anchor TJ Manotoc. Next is Melanie Marquez in 1979 and last but not the least in 2005 was Precious Lara Quigaman crowned at Tokyo, Japan.

And Latinas when compared to caucasians are PIGS?...lol....Aren't the latin countries equally poor...latinas are always the first to surgically alter their boobs, cheeks, etc...lol...you can't stop the invasion of asians in the global scene simply because asia is the economically the fastest growing region within the next 50 years..take the winners of the Ford Supermodels last 5 years, you see asians making it..the Latins will rot, pushed to the sidelights.. let us see..lol..
