Belle's disappointed she didn't get to act as editor. Paula gives her weddings and obituraries as her job for the week, instead of doing features! Belle takes her last pill...

When Belle goes to hospital to talk to a couple about people getting married, she almost takes some valium pills but Rachel stops her.

Paula threatens to fire Belle if she doesn't do things her way. Paul also looks in Belle's locked drawer and discovers all the pill bottles.

Belle talks to another doctor and gets a prescription for sleeping pills.

Charlie waits for Joey as she picks up her things from her house. She explains that now her brother his kicked her out, she has nowhere to stay. Charlie invites Joey to stay at Leah's house for a few nights until she gets something sorted. Despite an AVO being issued on Robbo, Leah is concerned that he may come to her house looking for Joey.

As the new acting editor for the paper, Paula is quick to demote Belle to writing this weeks Weddings and Obituaries. Belle is feeling the pressure once again so she helps herself to a pill, only to discover it's her last.

Belle arrives to talk to Rachel about an article she is writing on weddings. She sees a box of Diazepam unattended and goes to pocket it just as Rachel appears. Belle tells Rachel she just picked them up as they were on the floor, but Rachel's suspicions are aroused. Later when interviewing Dr Jill Sato about her upcoming wedding, Belle tells her she had to cancel a GP appointment but is in need of something to help her sleep. Dr Sato obliges. Belle is feeling confident and we see her hit Jill's fiancé Dr Young up for yet another prescription. Belle thinks she has it all under control but little does she know Paula has just discovered her hoard of empty pill bottles in her drawer at work.

Irene is basking in the glow of her love for Lou. Colleen brings up the subject of Alcohol and why Lou keeps giving Irene bottles of wine when she can't drink. Irene tells her she hasn't told Lou about her alcoholism. Over lunch Lou asks Irene why she hasn't told him about her past, she knows everything about him. Irene is forced to tell Lou the whole story. Much to Irene's surprise Lou is very accepting and does not judge her in any way. He's happy she got her life back on track and asks her out to dinner that night. Irene is thrilled. As they later embrace outside the diner, someone is taking pictures of them. What is going on?

With tensions at an all time high at Leah's house first with VJ's recent behaviour and now with the added pressure of Joey in the house Leah is at her wits end. When VJ stays home sick and Charlie watches him, it's an unlikely Joey that befriends VJ and picks up on the tension he is feeling about Leah dating George. When Leah returns home Joey raises the issue with Leah who is very interested in Joey's theory. Leah then cancels her date with George (who she didn't really like anyway) and breaks the news to VJ that she won't be seeing him anymore. VJ is very pleased and Leah is surprised by Joey's insight, insisting that there is no hurry for her to leave the house, until she has found alternative accomodation.
