When it comes to drums i don't have the liberty of multi-tracking each individual drum, i have a four chanel mixer i use on the drums and record that for the drum track. yes it takes knowing your room and where to place the mics, checking for phase before you record but once you have a drum track, make a copy squash it with a compressor (like it was a room-mic channel), if that isn't enough to get the signal, add a little eq in the 5000-12,000 cycle range, that is also like the cymbal knob,

I was doing this, because I thought it sounded cool. Glad to see I was doing something right, for once!! Thanks!!

Good tip Graham, thanks

please please please can you just add some high end to that snare. As a drummer I think that snare is just too muddy. Other than that :P Thank you for the videos. They really do inspire us all :)

Have you ever experienced this technique result in phasing issues or comb filtering?

What about doing some mixing contents?

Dude! This song is on a featured video on YouTube right now. Search for "Epic Trick Shot Battle - Dude Perfect". You mixed the entire song, right?
