When in the throes of that sad situation rational thought is nowhere to be found. That is the power of all addictions & keeps that problem around. It is why it is said you have to hit bottom, be all out of choices where even hope is forgotten to break the addiction in a way that is sound.

Sexual addiction my butt! Believe me, men do half their thinking with their penis. Sad but true. Even if we could have four wives like the Muslims we would still be looking for an extra bit on the side.
"No, honeys, tonight I have a headache."
This miserable state of affairs has nothing to do with someone's capability as a leader. In Europe it is considered a private thing. We are all weak and stupid. The only difference is about WHAT. Maybe you smoke. That is weak and stupid. Sigh.

If Edwards wasn't playing belly goat and jumping from one bed to the next and he might have found time to read the Intelligent reports and notice the lies, deceit, and fraud and then he would have voted NO, instead of yes on attacking Iraq.

Bill was a well known womanizer who pushed the envelope as far as his wife would let him. Edwards fathered a child while his wife was battling cancer. Now he's playing the victim instead of accepting responsibility for, and reaching out to, his new daughter.

After vigorously denying it, John Edwards has finally admitted his affair. The National Enquirer was the only publication writing about it. You know what this means? Elvis is alive! Bigfoot is real!

After the story broke Friday, Edwards released a statement that said, "In 2006, I made a serious error in judgment and conducted myself in a way that was disloyal to my family and to my core beliefs. I recognized my mistake, and I told my wife that I had a liaison with another woman, and I asked for her forgiveness. Although I was honest in every painful detail with my family, I did not tell the public."
