Paul Straub, author of My Odyssey: Short Stories from the Life of Paul Straub, is interviewed by Bill Frank on KKZZ AM in Ventura, California about his book, life and amazing adventures he had around the world. Paul Straub, a cosmetic surgeon in Los Angeles, was the 17th person to fly solo around the world, and he did it in 1977 with no GPS and used dead reckoning while crossing the huge Pacific Ocean. He flew amost 3,000 miles in one leg from Hawaii to Des Moines, Iowa, then a record for his single-engine aircraft.
