I suppose the flying part is open to interpretation. As far as "looking like he didn't know what he was doing" given that Lopes has won more professional mountain biking races, rarely falls, has never been out with a season ending injury in 25+ years of racing, I think it's reasonable to say he knows what he's doing... which doesn't mean watching him doesn't look scary, just that I really do think he's good at what he does.

Dudes you should check out Bulgaria! There are lots of downhills, rock gardens and thousands of other stuff. Bulgaria isn't very popular due political problems. But come and see, you will be amazed I GUARANTEE ! ! !

I recently hit a rock garden without realizing it until it was too late to turn around in Vermont... Just barely made it through (I am bad at rocks but I'm getting better) then had a brain fart and fell turning at the bottom.

@kuranintoki matter of opionin its like me saying a yeti or a niner is the best bike while specialized has made a great name for them self they are not infact the best bike you can buy i would say an ellseworth is

Going to slow can be far worse at times. Just lean back, look ahead, and trust yourself. Crashing while biking is not the same as in a car- most of the time it is honorable. :)

@trysoccer One of our favorite Brian Lopes quotes is "dress for the crash, not the ride." His point, you might crash - be prepared for it. So if you're going for a mellow ride on a fire trail, dress accordingly. But if you're going to step it up, make sure you're wearing what you need to just in case you take a digger. It's pretty rare to see Brian on a ride w/o pads of some sort...
