@ronpack You have said nothing here. Wealth in terms of monetary amounts does nothing for our society if it doesn't create any form of work. Technology such as Bikes, Cars, Stoves, Houses have all been developed partly due to the scientific method. And a very large population in our world can afford and needs at least a bike or and motorbike. If you defy these tools that were developed to help us, and claim these are the ails of mans greed then I suggest you relegate yourself back to the wild.

keep drinking the kool-aid. and keep pumping trillions into the black hole of science. money that the world will never see. money that could've been used in making the world a better place but instead it only makes it a better place for a tiny portion of the planet that can actually afford to use it. and it's funny you call ME ignorant...

@ronpack ronpack Your hate and ignorance is worse than the evils you see in science. #1 It's all about love, kindness, respect and gratitude. Whatever we humans do to build has to serve the purpose of #1. Science is just a form of truth that has helped us live more comfortable lives. It has freed us from the many enslavement's that mother earth has wrought. However, don't be led into the culture that Science has the answer for everything. It is ultimately just a technology that serves mankind.

I don't understand what they mean at the end that "lifting an automobile would be no problem". What are they talking about? The kite can lift an automobile?

These guys are as dedicated as Google, but you should have to agree, Google gives more to all.

After reading some of the comments here, I wonder if science is worth the effort because we have a stupendous amount of people with monkey brains on this world.

@ronpack It must be sad living in a world where you "believe" science does nothing for you. After all you wake up everyday and use soap to take a shower, don't have to go to the local river to carry the water, don't carry wood to cook food, sit there on your "computer" to write that comment you just wrote, and you are not dead yet because of vaccines, advancements in medicine, and standard of living. I'm not a person that think that science will save me in the future, I think it already has!
