This may be the Robert Elms show - but the DJ isnt Robert Elms. He was probably off for the day. I do recall Robert talking about this programme before, but would have been a differnet time.
Clip from the Robert Elms radio show on BBC London lunchtime.. Robert Elms enthusiasm is genuine if a little annoying, but a contrast all to the negativity usually broadcast in london.... Cheers me up no end
Great fun show. We watched it in the states in 1973 thru probably 1975. Just got the set on dvd and it's still fun. Always wanted a clubhouse like that.
Aw c'mon, ease up a little. Sure, he sounds a bit like he's wetting his pants, he's just enthusiastic - besides, both Gillian and Michael provide a nice steady contrast, very dignified!
I've listened to this interview several times, it's enjoyable, I'm glad we have the opportunity to hear it!
From a guy who loved watching the DDs in the US - back when I was ten years old.
the interviewer is Sean Rowley (Guilty Pleasures)
