Control of banking determines any governing system. So New York must also play a major role.
American democracy has been stolen from the people by the bankers, the military, the think-tank policy-makers and, not least, the elected representatives.
Now, Obama is allowed to talk domestic politics; and Hillary shapes world politics.

There are multiple reasons here. Domination of the middle east, for America might stablize oil supply for a long time to come, BUT it also secures Israels security. Israel USES America in this way and manipulates American foreign policy MUCH MORE than the any oil interest could.
