@djojo1972 when you say sit, put her in the 'sit' position and give her a treat. then say good girl ________" do this about 50 times over two or 3 days and she should start responding to her name and command. My dod had the same problem when i first got him.

HELPPPP... my 11 week old golden seems like she doesn't want to do anything i tell her to do...i know its been only 6 days since i got her but I've been trying to train her ever since...just simple stuff like "sit" or "stay", she won't even respond to her own name...and i can't seem to potty train her...any advice??

@djojo1972 enjoy her, play with her , spend time with her for couple of weeks, then slowly you can start training her by rewarding her , everytime she does something good.

i just lost my dog 3 days ago due to liver failure.. he was also a golden retriever i miss so much
