I explain torrent and The Pirate Bay. I state the facts in this video. Although it should be noted that I support TBP.
please comment and check out my other vids.

The Pirate Bay posted this on the trail page of TPB( http://trial.thepiratebay.org/ )"Today was the last day of the (first?) trial against The Pirate Bay.

First let us pose a huge thnx to internets for all the tremendous support and help we have seen. We would like to thank you for the millions(sic!) of tweets, emails, songs, smiles, blog posts, judicial advices, videos, comments, torrents, articles, translations, services, ideas and love that has been produced around the spectrial.

This thank you goes out not only to all internets, but also to the cops, court house clerks, coffeeshop waiters, bank officials, average joes, kids, friends, adversaries etc. that has helped us along the way.

We would like to put out a special thank you to our busdrivers, putting up with our blatantly chaotic organisation.

Back to the trial. Yesterday the prosecution plead for banning the essence of the internets, the links. Today the defence responded claiming that services of this kind never can be illegal.

The sentence will not be presented until the 17th of April. While waiting for this big day, we in the Spectrial team already has started to plan what were going to perform to celebrate the victory of the internets.

We have already written history, actually more than once. Now we are creating the future.

  • this is so frustrating artists and movie companys are rich as fuck and they are complaining because they loose a bit of money ! whats the matter dont want to be like the average citizen actually working hard every single day to put food on the table and because we want one small thing in life for free we are STEALING well im sorry for funding the government with my wages. If im right they are stealing as well then ? think about that one

  • @stargazersXTRA id like to point out that the artists tend not to be rich as they barely get any money from their songs unless they own their own record label

  • If you SHUT DOWN the pirate bay you might aswell shut down GOOGLE, because basicly they do the same shit, they both provide links to illegal stuff (in this case torrents) they can't sue pirate bay they have to sue the seeders, good luck on tracking them. Thumbs up if you agree.

  • @stargazersXTRA uhmm.. 700,000 copies of crysis 2 were pirated and that is $42,000,000

  • @13ecroft Nah dude, they can't do anything :D

  • well i downloaded something (dexter) and i got an email from my net provider, saying they were emailed by the company in charge (showtime inc.) saying i was in violation of copyright. lol should i stop downloading?

  • um, don't you start seeding as soon as you have a piece of the file? you start uploading as soon as you've downloaded something :P

  • I'm surprised you used WMM. Assuming you pirate, you could have at least used Sony Vegas. :P

  • the pirate bay will have the same problem as wikileaks, if they do succeed in taking it down, a million mirrors will pop up at once,

governments and corporations don't understand the internet, so there fighting in foreign ground, they don't have a hope of winning.

  • actually if you notice all the banks if your not carefull and dont calculate your taxes or money right you will notice they always take more of your money that is supposed to be taken.

  • FUCK THE SYSTEM!!

  • The government is taking more of your money than you realize. I tried to figure out how much, but they have made it confusing. One example, average taxes that are apparent in a gallon of gas average about $0.48/gallon. The tax you pay from the federal gov is more than any estimate of oil co profits that I have read. That is not including any taxes that are paid in order to produce a gallon of gas. Is this stealing? I think so. Is it OK? Not at all. Does this make the Pirate Bay OK??
