The cellphone debate in schools| Holy Cross

Peterborough This Week's Kristan Billing and Lauren Gilchrist went to Holy Cross Secondary School and asked students where, and when, they should be able to use cellphones at school.
Currently, both the local public and Catholic school boards have a draft policy in place outlining where and when students can use cellphones and other Personal Electronic Devices (PEDs), such as iPods, digital cameras and walkie talkies. Both boards are looking at banning the use of cellphones and other PEDs during class time, unless necessary for instructional purposes.
The draft policy for both boards is set to go before trustees for final approval in January.

1st kid: your mom needs to cut the umbilical cord...2nd kid: grandma needs to learn "911"... holy crap these kids are being turned into serious losers by their families...time to learn some independance...schools should install cell blockers. I'd support that as a taxpayer.
