The Sennheiser S1 Digital aviation headset, designed in tandem with BMW DesignWorks USA, gives you maximum control over noise levels in the cockpit, so you can focus on the joy of flying. At the push of a button, the S1's exclusive NoiseGard™ / digital technology accurately analyzes the cockpit's current noise levels to achieve superior noise cancellation during all phases of flight—from take-off to cruise to landing. Design features like adjustable headband contact pressure and a special "comfort zone" for glasses ensure you stay comfortable. And with a Bluetooth interface, clear voice transmission and a customizable treble boost function, you'll never miss a word.

  • The Bose A20 is FAA TSO'd. The Sennheiser S1 is not TSO'd. If you are using it for an airline application, you would have to go with the Bose A20.

  • I'd be inclined to question those who informed you of the 25 hour battery life regarding the Sennheiser. Certainly not the case for me, I'd easily have 35 hours up by now and they're still going strong. I use it daily and this was a feature I was sure to question when I purchased them. Bose A20 none the less is certainly a very nice headset and I do still use them aircraft and flight type dependant.

  • Well one more thing I forgot to mention Bose Battery's last 35 hours according to manual but for me they have lasted 44 hours plus with pretty heavy use. the Sennheiser S1 battery power I believe lasts only 25 hours . I prefer something light when I am flying. R they TSO'ed ?

  • I found the Bose A20 to press down on the pin ontop of my hats I wear. For this reason I bought the Sennheiser S1 as I was informed by a fellow pilot that this problem would be eliminated if I did so. So for me this headset is more comfortable, the sound quality and ANR in comparison to the A20 are equal and the price is cheaper. It is heavier than the A20, however the lightweight feature was what Bose focused on for their headset but this was never a problem for me. I did an 8 hour flight stra

  • Nope ! much heaver, than Bose A20 , hear when ANR is used the sounds tiny and artificial don't know if they are TSo'd nor can you switch the mike from left to right like in the A20 however certainly a very good looking headset with a great brand name

  • is this better than the bose a20?
