KING Kong, and it's UNIVERSAL Studios. ;-) It was one of the sights along the tram tour, but it was among the structures that burned down last year, so it's gone now, sad to say.
The Battlestar Galactica part of the tour was at the bottom of the hill directly underneath where the former Back To The Future/current Simpsons ride was built. They removed it to put in the simulator's foundations.

i remember when the tram used to board on the upper lot. now the tram loads on the lower lot now. i mis the battle star galatica ride and the torpedo attack.

i was scared of the alien thing when i was a kid lol. they should bring that ride back.

i went there yestarday, the complex is 90% done from the outside.

yea i was the tram not to long ago, and they mentioned that they are currently working on it.

wtf, really? OMG maybe they'll buld it based on Peter Jackson's 2005 version of the film, that'll be interesting.

That's the biggest animatronic i've ever seen, i'm glad i had the chance to see that part of the tour twice, now it's gone, stupid fire!!

I wonder if that tour guide guy had been working at Universal Studios Hollywood studio tour for many years now. The last time I heard of that guy was in probably 2003 and this year.
I'm just knowing the voice in the tram is him. What's the guy's name?

In the early 90es where the HI8 Tapes very expensive. So I guess the part when he says his name is ereased.
