School Video Project: The Catcher in the Rye

Our American Lit. class had to form groups and pick a novel to read from a list, then make a presentation to show the rest of the class anyway you'd like. Our novel was The Catcher in the Rye and our group decided to create a movie trailer-type video to show bits and pieces of the book. We weren't allowed to give away any twists or the ending, so this video was just made to peek the rest of our class's interest. Enjoy. :)

*** The three of us (Kayla, Mallory, and Andi) created the tune to the poem, Comin thro' the Rye by Robert Burns, played during the "rye scene."

Our school is doing a similar project, I just wanted to say that the scene in the hayfield is beautifully shot. Did you do anything special with the lighting?

Thanks! We filmed the shot with natural lighting, but added color effects through editing later on!
