@1914watcher Again you mention a key point. If the Bablyons domination ended in 539 BCE then it was only 68 years from 607 not the full 70. The 70 years were a period of servitude that started BEFORE the destruction of the temple, not with the destruction. I say it again, 1914 is an apostate teaching.

@Justice4vr Let's get down to 1914. You keep saying that the past should not be reviewed or judge an establishment? 1914 is everything to a JW, Without 1914 there is no 1919, no inspection and no picking.

The "worldly" people claim that the siege of Jerusalem occurred in 586-587, Jw's say 607? Witnesses will say "Who are you going to follow, the Bible or MEN!" Good question! Who are you following? When did Jehovah call account? 539? What does Jeremiah 25:12 say? Kiss 1914 goodbye

@1914watcher For me, the UN was one of the deal breakers. I cannot comprehend why more don't have issue with it. No part of it means, no part. JWs must shun family? Don't even look at them. Yet the Wild Beast? It was just a library card, it was this or that lame and proven a lie excuse. Talking with the CO about it, my jaw really spent most of the time on the floor. I couldn't believe the lame excuses. There is NO excuse, none, zip, etc.

@Danmera Speaking of the United Nations! You should see the article that the elders brought by on Sunday. It's pretty obvious that they didn't read what they left with my wife, especially if they are concerned that I might be an apostate? The article came from the Nov 2009 Awake pages 26-29 "Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies"

The WTBTS quotes from the UN Chronicle over and over, then they quote the WHO (World Health Organization)

I guess breaking up is hard to do? =)

@Justice4vr I've got a New World Greek Interlinear New Testament here at home, published by the society. You can see the English text on the right side, and the original Greek text on the left, so you can compare the New World Translation with the original. They stopped printing them quite a while ago. Why do you think they did that?

@Justice4vr I'm not sure, I think my last comment got lost. I'm afraid "By reading the bible" can't possibly be an answer, because you won't find a bible verse that says "Jesus inspected the Society and found it pure at the beginning of the 1900s" This can only be special extra-biblical knowledge, which Jehovah must have communicated directly to someone, who must have listening to a direct message from God. Who received this revelation, and when?

TEST means to look, to dig, to question, to research. And courage, to accept what you find. WT says, oh don't do that, just listen ONLY to us, we are your salvation.

JW's say they are not inspired, claiming they are just "spirit directed." But they fail to understand that words do in fact mean things, and that by definition, inspired MEANS spirit directed. - They also claim they have THE truth....despite the fact that their "truth" changes all the time, and from year to year....their truth of today, (from God) becoming mistakes tomorrow. - So, how can they be SO sure they have the "truth" today?

@Justice4vr Right, we're gradually getting there, bit by bit. The inspection happened, Jesus declared the organisation "pure" How was it known that Jesus had carried out this inspection and found the society pure, without hearing God speaking directly? After all, there is no bible verse which says "And verily, Jehovah inspected the organisation and found it pure" You can only know something like that with direct communication from Jehovah. So who did God tell this too and when?

@Justice4vr "but lord, didn't we do good works in your name and expel demons in your name?" Would that appear as love? Is love unconditional? See, if I love you, you can believe whatever religion you want to and we're still cool. All that love you're talking that JWs have is on the condition that you conform to a set of beliefs. Then if you look at the predictions that didn't come to pass and call them on it, THEY label YOU. Maybe I missed something but what's so loving about that?

You mean like the background in pyramidology, spiritism, etc etc. Or the child molestation cover ups, or maybe the fornicating with the wild beast, or any other of the vile things they have done and are still doing. This is not about the rank and file, they command you to do this or that, then they hide behind YOUR fruits (see we go door to door, boasting how great you are), to do whatever they want. "do NOT go after them", very clear instruction here. Men=Not the way.

@Danmera "says who?" the fruit danmera.. the FRUIT. for example John 13:34,35 where Jesus says that all will know that they are his disciples, IF they have love among themselves. Everyone else on this planet is killing themselves in war, EVERYONE even the so called "christians" and only the JWs arent, thats ONE fruit. Only the JWs are known for evangelizing WORLDWIDE in unity "speaking the same thing", thats another FRUIT. The fruit danmera, look for the fruit!!!!

@The1hope4all they listened to his voice by actually reading the bible and putting it to practice and scrapping that false practice of yours. I dont know why he didnt do it at "the time of inspection", but somehow he helped us scrap it eventually.

It is a MAJOR theme of the literature. You can ONLY be saved thru them. THEY are your salvation. They alone. You are not fooling me, or anyone else who may be reading these comments. You are only fooling yourself. *head explodes*
