A pyrokinetic installation standing 8' and consisting of wood, plastic, soft paper, and nitrocellulose film stock. The lantern-like pentapod was lit from within by a 500w halogen light. Roughly 50' of film was unspooled from the reel on top of the structure, and displayed in gradually spiralling rows against the luminous paper. A strip of film at the base of the structure was finally ignited, producing the effect seen in the video.

  • from my understanding, the fumes given off by burning nitrate based film are highly toxic

  • What was the film? Hopefully it was something expendable like one print of Many or some old Stck That wasnt really needed.
