Curious

This was my final project for my Introduction to Illustration class. The project specs were pretty open, so I chose to animate the story I came up with for a previous 5-part series of paintings. It's about a very curious baby bird who just wants to be able to fly above the world with the happy adult birds. When it gets too close to the edge of the pink broccoli tree, it slips over the silky edge and plummets to certain doom... until it's saved at the last second by a vigilant adult bird.

In short, it's a video about longing for something better, making a mistake, and redemption through "divine" intervention.
