Andrew Mitchell, the Shadow International Secretary, visits a slum in Freetown, Sierra Leone - one of the poorest countries in the world. It has one of the worst rates of death amongst children under 5 anywhere in the world, with many people there living below water level.

  • I fail to see why the Tories also ant to meet the outdated 0.7 GNI level.

  • Greater decipline in the monetary and fiscal decipline is the only way forward. Tell the world bank to keep her self to her self, as long as we desire to borrow to exist, subsistently,we will always be doomed. We must starv, if necessary, free the unborn child, but we must not buy, build if we know we cannot afford what we are spending or if we need to borrow to build it or fix it, never again, should we allow to our government to borrow, with out accountability, never. Or else we die, sick of it.

  • inflation is caused by unnecessary liquidity in the economy the pounds value is based upon how much is in circulation inflation comes from printing money needlessly when the goverment gets its spending figures wrong

  • in all honesty the conservatives probably will do better inflation levels are killing the working class and inflation is no where near the cpi index(which the government uses) and the poor in real terms have actually got poorer i would imagine with the conservatives we would have more flexible income Jobs and lower inflation which would be great wages would grown faster

  • I am fed up with this government failing at home on education crime and healthcare, but as a labour voter at heart I don`t feel that the right will ever try to deal with the problems of poverty and inequality. Maybe I am wrong ?

  • I am a youth member of the conservatives. We will win the next election and stop Brown and his minions from ruining the country anymore.
