Daniel Radcliffe - Leading Role In 'The Woman In Black'

Rating: En Fuego™

Daniel Radcliffe has signed on to take a leading role in 'The Woman In Black'.

Radcliffe - best known for his portrayal of Harry Potter in the wizard movie series - will play Arthur Kipps in the new movie, an adaptation of the Susan Hill novel which has also been on the West End stage.

The script, being worked on by Jane Goldman and James Watkins, sees Daniel play a young lawyer who must visit the estate of a deceased client only to discover he is not by himself in the house.

Daniel said: "I am incredibly excited to be part of 'The Woman In Black'. Jane Goldman's script is beautifully written - both tender and terrifying in equal measure. It is thrilling to be working with James Watkins. From his brilliant work on 'Eden Lake' and also having met him and heard his vision for the film, I know he will make a fantastic film."

Production on 'The Woman In Black' is due to begin in fall this year.

  • i think he has the potential to be the next johnny Depp. think about it. johnny depp got first noticed for Cry Baby, was in the very first nightmare before xmas as a normal kid, and then BAM! edward scissorhands. If Radcliff starts off with this much heat and doesnt let it go to his head, he could become a crazy yet directed madman as johnny depp can be, like in P.O.T.C and also Sweeney Todd, tho maybe not as extreme as the Sweeney Todd Movie.

  • @antiraidenanti you mean Nightmare On Elm Street? Not nightmare before christmas

  • @antiraidenanti You've got a point..but there's no one and never will be as Johnny <3

  • What's important is that we support Dan in this film. He doesn't have to be johnny depp, no one can be like johny depp. but dan can make a name for himself so let us just watch this movie first before judging him.

  • Well, that was pointless.

  • @scarface12347 No, Johnny wasn't in Nightmare Before Christmas. Jack's singing voice was Danny Elfman, and the speaking voice was Chris Sarandon.

  • @antiraidenanti he was in the first nightmare on elm street but yes he was also in nightmare before christmas he played jack.

  • @Alyssa0401 u know...most of johnnys humour comes from british television..i remember himself sayin tht on tv in an interview

  • @antiraidenanti daniel CANT be like johny , the one is american , and the other english . daniel doesnt have the same humour as johnny . johnny is a 1000 time better then potter !!!

  • @antiraidenanti That has to be the worst biography summary of johnny depp's career i've ever read. but i do agree, that he may just follow in depp's footsteps.

  • is the movie only showing in england or is it coming to the u.s.? cause if its coming to the u.s. i would really like to see it in theaters
