  • are they kept in a tank?

  • They used to be in a tank with a two-level cage topper. Back then they used the tank as a giant bathroom and stayed up top -- in this case, the egg rolled downstairs. Now they live in a wire cage and free range on top of a table whenever I'm home.

  • i want a rat so bad but i herd they like company in a book i read is that true so if i do get a rat should i get 2

  • Yeah, they can get lonely so 2 rats is good.

  • I just bought 2 pet rats and I thought they were supposed to love attention and love to be with you, but they always seem to try and run away? Do I need to let them adjust to their house more B4 I handle them, or am I suppose to just hold w/ me no matter how hard they try to get away?

  • You could do stuff like let them lick yogurt or honey off your fingers so they learn to like you. Here's a page with more ideas:

  • Mine seems to enjoy her alone time and plus i play with her like 5 times a day lol

  • "come on bruv , we can do it!! " xx

  • funny and nice

  • the big one randomly is like "no its bath time"

  • what sort of bedding are you using there, recycled paper? :DI am trying to find the best alternatives to wood sheddings :D

  • @missSara yes you should really as rats can get more or less the same illnesses as humans. one illness you should watch out for is myco which is like tb and is tb in humans but humans can not catch myco off rats. you will know if a rat has myco the rat will sneeze at first and then over time will start to grunt and find it hard to breath, you can buy antibiotics but more then rat will die. but to help the ill rat breath better buy a humidifier.
