Soldiers, civilians, local police officers and firefighters recently traveled to the Indiana Department of Homeland Security search and rescue training compound at Camp Atterbury Joint Maneuver Training Center to take part in ice rescue training. Due to an increase of cracking ice and water related incidents, representatives from the Indiana department of homeland security offered this course to help inform the public of the dangers of frozen ponds and lakes and how to react if you see someone in danger.
