@AshandLauraluv We are very friendly with all our patients, and the assitant was just joking around with patient. We all know that he is not going to say " no, leave my braces on". This is the best day for all patients GETTING THEIR BRACES OFF.

Why are colors added to the braces and when do you usually get them on? Theyre elastics, right? I've had braces for a year and a bit now and I haven't even seen the elastics.. :/

@KaylaRose432 On some braces the color tie (o-rings) are used to hold the wire in place in the braces. The newer braces are called self ligating braces (like Speed & Damon) they do not require the color ties, but we can place them for decoration. Elastics are something different, they are usually used to correct bite problems and are worn from top to bottom braces and you put them on and take them off.

Hello Dr.B,I'm 10 years old and I just got braces,my teeth are not serious,but they wanted them sorted A.S.A.P. @kweelBEANS26 Hi, it sounds like you are having some early orthodontic treatment with an expander and some upper braces. Getting them off should be nothing like you experienced. It should not be painful and is just like in the video.

princess isnt 1 week long to be feeling pain still mine only lasted 3 days sometimes 4, without taking any meds did that for the entire 2.5 years they were on

It will actually feel better in a week but If you don't like the pain don't bite hard just eat liquids like soup hope it helps
