The usual crowd strolled in to Amy's just like they always did after that first day of school, the five shuffled to their favorite booth in the back with the window that over looked the beach. The vintage leather booths and tile made them smile as they slid into the booths. Ashely slide in first followed by Vanessa while the boys took their place across from them. Ashely and V were in deep conversation about the new spanish teacher who was supposedly totally gorgeous. Zac rolled his ocean-colored orbs as he leant back against the worn out leather.
"Don't act so innocent." Taylor nudged Zac with a playful smile, his pearly whites showing through his lips.
"Huh?" Zac asked momentarily confused until Selena flitted through his brain.
"That junior, what's her name . . ? Oh, Selena Gomez." He said remembering who he had saw Zac walking with this morning.
All of a sudden the chattering on the other side of the table stopped, the two girls had their eyes on Zac as his head swung in Taylor's direction.
"See what you do?" He asked as Taylor shrugged taking a sip of his drink.
"Selena Gomez, the flyer?" Ashely asked with an arched eyebrow to the boy across from her.
"I just walked her to class, it's not a big deal." Zac responded raising his hands.
"Speaking of." Vanessa nugded Ashely who averted her eyes to the cute brunette who has just walked through the glass doors. She was wearing faded cut-offs, black converse and a form fitting shirt that displayed her figure quite nicely.
Zac craned his neck to get a glimpse of the girl he could not stop staring at in Ap Calc. His eyes scanned from her face down her perfectly toned legs. She lifted her eyes from her blackberry to see that the the group in the back had their eyes on her which was making her really uncomfortable. Zac couldn't help but smile at her, she was beautiful. Selena mouthed a "hi" before stepping up to give her order. Taylor was still staring at the junior once the rest of the group brought their attention back to eachother. Zac felt a pang of jealously and flicked the side of his head.
"Owww, what was that for?" He whined rubbing the side of his head, sticking his bottom lip out
"Behind all that muscle, you're a real pussy." Zac rolled his eyes as he stole another glimpse at the brunette goddess.
"Zac." He heard Ashely say but couldn't hear her.
"Zachary." She said again kicking his leg from under the table.
"Whaaat." He groaned as he tore his attention away from Selena.
V had kept quiet the entire time, just sitting there looking at her lap. He was clueless to the fact that she liked him or has liked him since they were in fourth grade.Usually Zac would have noticed but he was caught up in something else. He heart ached everytime he would take his attention away from her to look at Selena. She couldn't take it anymore, the feeling in the pit of her stomach started to heighten as Ash was nagging at him like she always did.
"Zac, can you take me home?" She asked softly, barely picking up her eyes to catch his.
He hesitated finally acknowlegding her as he gave her a faint not, wanting to beat himself up for totally just ignoring her the entire time.
"Sure, come on." He said with a faint smile as they slid out of the booth to their feet.
"But we have practice." Ashely piped up studying her best friends face.
"I know, i'll try to come but all of a sudden i'm not feeling well." V responded giving Ashely the look that she knew all to well.
"Ok, call me later." She said looking up at V with tears stinging in the brunettes eyes.
Ashely's eyes flitted from Zac's to V's, he didn't even have a clue.
