I'd never heard him speak English before.

Seeing this is the biggest shock of my entire life, I never knew Moebius could speak fluent English! I've seen him in documentaries before and he is always speaking French. IT's like he has been teasing us all these years.

I knew Sylvain in college. We were both attending Monroe Community college in upstate Ny. He actually taught me the basics of guitar playing and got me to join the music committee which was run at the college site . I can still recall when he used to sketch allot and had a huge interest in art graphics. A very talent man and my pleasure to have known him.

What a very rare film clip...a great treat to see the talented concept artist and film director, Sylvain Despretz with one of his greatest mentors, perhaps the most extraordinary linear artists in the world, at this date, (Jan 2011 as I see this) Moebius.

Sylvain Despertz was the storyboard and concept artist on "Alien Resurrection", not "Alien". Big difference. Tonkys' description for this vid is incorrect.

Thanks for posting this.

The subtitle says "father of french comic book art" and "It ("Through the Moebius Strip") is Moebius' first animation" which seems pretty unqualified. It's a shame the film came out more or less like a big generic videogame "cut scene".
