The Operation: Closer View:
The Control Base Station has an LCD screen, which displays the message of the status of the operation while the package is being transported. When a package is available at the Pick-Up Station, the WMR departs from the Home Station to the Pick-Up Station. The package is picked up by a gripper system in front of the WMR and transported to the Drop-Off station.
Project Abstract: A Clever Autonomous Robotic Gripper Operating (CARGO) BOT for in-factory transport of packaged goods and materials.
The main purpose of this project is to develop a transportation system capable of monitoring package availability and moving the package from one station to another with implementing a wireless communication framework. A base station is set up to detect the availability of a package, and a wheeled mobile robot (WMR) with a gripper system is used to pickup the package and transports it to a drop-off station.
