During the the 4th of July, 2009, Indiana University Summer String Academy Concert, Brian Allen, age 15, plays the Yankee Doodle variations by Vieuxtemps to a standing ovation. Vieuxtemps wrote these variations during his concert tour to America after hearing the Americans sing it. He thought it would help introduce the Americans to classical music, which it did. And Americans continue to enjoy this exciting piece today. Please comment on how you liked it!!
