If you value your skin, be sure to hold a revolver correctly! :-)

Also, for the person or two who keep trying to repost the same goofy comment, anybody who cannot see that the paper is cut at the cylinder gap, please "rewind" the video and watch a few hundred times. :-) Of course, the muzzle blast has some effect on the paper, too, but the point is that the paper is cut back at the cylinder gap. Where is Homer Simpson when I need him? :-)

    Hey Hickok45!

Nice video this. I stood besides my mate when he was shooting a .454 Casull - it was a blast (literally)!

Ever considered testing the .454 revolvers? Pretty hard hitters.

You're right, most people are fun shooters (or just train for self defense) and thus most people who shoot revolvers shoot them for fun. Still, revolvers are especially useful for hunters and I wouldn't approach a large boar without the largest caliber I can handle. If there is not enough space for a rifle (e.g. when searching for a wounded boar in the woods) I'd always take a revolver. Or a damn boar spear.

Most people who own firearms doesn't need to worry about boars or bears or any wild animal. But a magnum is overkill for a boar anyways, a .45 can drop one cleanly anyways.

You need a magnum to drop a wild boar or a bear. Also revolvers are very reliable, making them an excellent tool on hunting trips. I don't have fun shooting them, but in several situations they just work better than pistols or rifles.

If you don't find a firearm fun to shoot, than there is no point in owning that firearm. That is the most important reason, because you don't even need a magnum to drop someone.
