vw 4 life!!

Yeah for some reason I feel very strongly that these cars should be preserved. Someone was telling me about this Ghia that he found that had been all shot up by a BB gun. It made my blood boil.

I don't think that the bus at 00:40 was a result of the owner not caring for it....

2:46 rape train of vw's

@BoostedVW ahh, i thought the 21 figure accounted for all the GERMAN made ones.
oh well, it's still a shitload ;-)
-
@pedekiller It is a grey area, Golf is on it's 7th generation but then even type1 beetles are not the original design either.
114million units....ugh dude, you might wanna do abit more reading of reliable sources.
21million is world wide production and INCLUDES all Mexican Vochos and Brazilian Fuscas.
The last one made in Mexico in 2003 was the somewhere in the mid 21millionth range
-
@pedekiller let me re-ammend that number, if you INCLUDE the brazillian and mexican beetles it more totals 114,000,000 units produced ;-)
-
@BoostedVW the corollas cannot count surely as their design was changed continuously in body design and shape, same with the golfs, but i guess technically you are correct.
and yeah even the type 1's went throgu ha few changes, swing axle to IRS, Link pin to ball joint and finally McPherson strut, dashboard mods. but not THAT many.
-
@pedekiller Last time I checked 26million VW Golfs and 37million Toyota Corollas was alot more than 21million Beetles.
-
@BoostedVW but the type 1 beetle still holds the world production record for any car by a metric shitton
hell yea! save the v-dubs. i found a baja that was rotting. it threw a lower rod bearing. after sitting forever, everything still worked awesome! theyre such a simple and amazing design. it goes anywhere and still gets awesome mileage! ACVWs are here to stay! i agree with brian62793 wasnt really a bug. looked like a bronco2 chassis with a bug shell

yeah that one is'nt a vw chasis but it shows what can be done with a vw.

and if the chasis is too far gone why not use the body on another chasis to make something wonderfull and interesting
