Returning from a Segway ride with a good frined.

This is my oldest son Kuuipo and I returning from a Segway ride. Kuuipo is easily the calmest animal or person I have ever known. In Hawaiian Kuuipo means sweetheart and that is exactly what he is.

Actually his trusting nature actually almost ended his lift a few years back. I suspect Kuuipo thinks everyone likes cats. This combined with the fact that we always hear the pops of a small cal. gun going off from our gun happy macho man neighbor that hates cats. One day a few years back Kuuipo did not come home all day. Late that evening he finally limped in the door with his left front leg swinging freely as he hopped in on 3 legs.

To make a long one short, after $1,9oo in vet bills, him once stopping breathing in my arms n kitty CRP (mouth to kitty nose respiration) saving the day, the amputation of his gun shot destroyed left elbow and leg. Kuuipo is for the most part back to semi normal.

Now a few years later, as you may suspect, Kuuipo can not move around as a normal cat and actually was obviously quite depressed (he lost his purr) for a time..... This being the case we found Kuuipo a good buddy, Kala. Kala is Hawaiian for sun. But what a good son Kala is to Kuuipo (see http://www.3cats.com/LitterMates.htm). Happy to report that Kuuipo got his purr back BIG TIME and now seems to like to ride on the Segway as I walk Kala daily to keep him from visiting the same neighbor.

Yes, my oldest son, he will never ask to borrow the car, never need collage tuition, never get a DWI, never impregnate any girls. I like this kind of child so much I got 4 of them n no two leg children......

Yes, Kuuipo did seem like he enjoyed checking his Ponderosa from this little mobile throne. However, the last week or so he seems to wants nothing to do with Segway rides. Havn't a clue why. He may come around, he may not....?
