There was most certainly contact between Egyptians and Mayans. The poster below who jumped straight to space ships proves why these subjects are so untouched today. STOP insulting human intelligence, and if you think that the Sumerians are the only ones who wrote about genetic tampering, then go educate yourself on the Hindu texts, Norse, Gaelic, etc.. they ALL speak of it. Of course Genesis chapter six as well. DO NOT always go there though, as some cultures were indeed crossing oceans

Graham Hancock makes a good case for his ancient civilization but orthodox archeology will deny everything he says. I wish scientists were more open-minded and not so quick to judge without looking at all the evidence. Things that don't fit into their orthodox view of the world are simply ignored.

Orthodox archaeology must deny everything he says because those orthodox archaeologists have their entire professional backgrounds at stake.
Their own papers, their reviews of other professional papers, perhaps even books they've written, to say nothing of lectures they may have given.
Their reputations would be in shreds. Sad really because they've often poured a lifetime's work into dedicated study. Most of them have merely extended knowledge which they too have been wrongly taught.

Not so long ago, scientists and philosophers were telling us the Earth was flat and anyone who believed otherwise was regarded as some sort of evolutionary heretic and sentenced to death.
Fortunately we've come some way since then....

acorntechnique: I know you're being sarcastic when you say that "we've come some way" since we thought the Earth was flat; I beg to differ.
You see, scientific truth ALWAYS goes through 3 stages: 1st, it's ridiculed. 2nd, it's violently opposed or contained. 3rd, it's accepted as "self-evident" (after all the tenured professors, scholars and other deadwood have passed away).
That's how it's always been. And that's how it will always be.
