Nikolai has always been known as a super-virtuoso! Sometimes this quality has overshadowed other facets of his incredible talent. Physical and musical qualities are not always grow in sync... He achieved the balance of absolute pianistic skill and wisdom of mature artist, yet he is still young! I'm sure Demidenko be remembered as one of the best pianists of our time!

@truecrypt I have attended many of Mr Demidenko's recitals and own most of his recordings. I would like to ask in what ways particularly do you consider he has progressed from young virtuoso to mature master?

It was long and not always easy way from young super virtuoso to mature master. Nikolai made it!
Happy for you, Kolya!

@truecrypt Indeed - thank you. Ever since I first heard him I felt that here was a very special performer: not least for his taste, tact and unique sonority.
