Cotton Fields - John Fogerty (live, Troy Inn 1987, rare !!)

here a rare cut of a not really official concert of John Fogerty. The People who where there, had luck, because it wasn't really officially. This gig wasn't planned of any concert agentur.

John Fogerty was only sometimes in this little "Cavern" in these short time after "eye of the zomibe" that failed the big charts, but it was in the charts !! So it's also a good album.
But let's get back to the good, old CCR time and listen to it.....how it sounded in 1987 :DD , enjoy !!

Troy isnt in Idaho it is in Oregon, far upper right hand corner. Tiny little burgon the far edge of nowhere. And I believe that John owned the Troy Inn. In the 70's when I lived over in that area thats pretty much all there was in troy. But, they used to throw the legendary "Troy Dance", a weekend longcapitol P party and John was rumoured to come and play now and again.

Does anyone know when this was filmed? This looks like it might have been taped in the early eighties or late seventies in that 10 year span when he didn't record anything. Rare indeed.

it was, like the headline says, in 1987, in a little tavern.

from the 70's is nearly no material, except "Hoodoo" (the unreleased album from 1976) and an radio interview from KSAN in 1975 (very rare !, but interesting)

I live near Troy just inside of Idaho. We heard rumors John was living in Troy and would occasionally play in the local tavern. We thought of going often, but didnt' want to crash his private life.

@MrCCRFan Oh wow...I guess it helps to read...(DUH!)...My apologies...Yeah Zombie really bombed. I did buy it but it was so mediocre compared to Centerfield that it's no surprise. There were a couple of good songs on Zombie but Centerfield gave me goosebumps the first time I heard it. He has attained legendary status now, so he can do no wrong. As long as he can get on stage, people will come.
