Barbonymus schwanenfeldii commonly called tinfoil barb is native to Brunei Darsm, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. These fish reach a foot in length so a big tank is recommended. Large Tinfoil barbs display a silvery or golden yellow coloration with red fins. They prefer to be in schools so a minimum of 3 or 5 fish is recommended.
